Oh a three year old's imagination.
Luna placed them all and I photographed them as is.
Luna is a dedicated mother, teacher, nurse, sister and best friend.
She lines her dolls up every morning serving pancakes or disciplining "NO BITING!" or singing them lullabies. But the best part about them is their names. Luna named every one and there is no changing it. My favorites are of course Orange, her oldest doll, named such since she could talk and Psycho Baby. Psycho Baby's demonic cry, gurgles and growls at the end of a long line of baby profanities.
Who needs reality tv with Luna to entertain you.
Soon she'll be home again you all will be sick of all the photos of her :)

Cutest baby pictures ever! My friend Heather just sent me an email containing these images shot by Adele Enerson of her darling daughter, Mila, while she sleeps. You should check out her blog too. It's a quirky look into the little things of daily life.
It's art day here in Saint Louis. Saint Charles Foundry a little disappointing at the moment but I just had some fantastic midday bowling games with my art talking partners in crime, heading downtown for ART Saint Louis Gallery and Black Swan with Heather.

So I can tell I'm back in the mode when
I'm seeing photo-intriguing faces everywhere.

Armature

At the Art Saint Louis art gallery downtown on Washington, Snail Scott's Armature Series struck me the most. Magnificent craftsmanship, each hand with a life-like texture, to it molded seamlessly is a structural form of some kind. The image above is my favorite mostly because it has a strong echo of Seattle for me, the bridge but primarily the image captured behind it on the wall. It is a photograph of the interior of the Seattle Public Library. An amazing building.
If you get the chance take some time out to view the gallery. Their exhibits rotate monthly and they take pride in local work. The current exhibit is Blink as in "the blink of an eye". Check it out.

Free concert in the park

There is so much that Saint Louis has to offer in the summer. Really, what an amazing city! On Wednesday nights my friends and I listen to free concerts at the Missouri Botanical Gardens. Sitting on a blanket munching and drinking and laughing.
This is a shot of the reflection in one of the pools. Reminds me of A Midsummer Night's Dream.

When does one settle down?

My mom is a constant source of reflection. She helps me see the inside out and outside all the way in. With Europe quickly approaching, my sister to Afghanistan, Luna in limbo while my mom hovers between Oklahoma and Missouri, it really makes me put my relationships into perspective. How can one gypsy maintain so many deep relationships and fleeting addresses and still remain close? And how long is too long for a life like that? My grandpa asked my mother what could possibly be in Europe that makes a possible visit into a permanent move...my mom answered,
"I don't know and
you don't know and
she doesn't know but
the fact that she must go
is certain."

Our dearest Luna is now two and a half.
My sister is preparing for another tour overseas.
My mom is living life, lovin livin.
Winston found himself a family that shares the love.

Luna is at the point she wants to take the pictures, tired of being in them, I suppose. Here are a couple she took. Hands free, I just provided a safety net for my camera :)
