Anthropologie is true to me

I have loved Anthropologie since the moment I first laid eyes on their window display one rainy afternoon on my first trip to Seattle. I became giddy when I opened the large wooden doors with the beautiful knarly iron branchlike door handles. And I may have stopped breathing when I began to take in the splendor of a store that literally embodies my personal aesthetic every few feet...if I only had enough money...
well I've just discovered that they have a sister site for talent...

My foremost

My dearest Luna © 2009 Vanessa Rudloff

Ebb Tide

When the long day goes by
And I do not see your face,
The old wild, restless sorrow
Steals from its hiding place.

My day is barren and broken,

Bereft of light and song,

A sea beach
bleak and windy
That moans the whole day long.

To the empty beach at ebb tide,

Bare with its rocks and scars,

Come back like the sea with singing,

And light of a million stars.
